SATYRICON Confirmed For Norway's SLOTTSFJELL FESTIVAL
April 22, 2006Norwegian black metallers SATYRICON have been confirmed as one of the headliners of this year's Slottsfjell Festival, set to take place July 22 in Tønsberg, one of Norway's oldest towns. The festival will reportedly take place amidst the ruins of a medieval castle on top of Slottsfjellet.
As previously reported, SATYRICON's video for their new single, "K.I.N.G." (mp3),has been posted online at Windows Media. The clip was shot earlier in the month in London. "The cast was a gathering of some of the most bizarre people from London's underground club scene that were to inflict pain upon each other, themselves and the band," frontman Satyr told MTV.com. "The video has all the ingredients of a good rock and roll video and sets a new metal video standard for good photography and clever editing."
SATYRICON's new album, "Now, Diabolical", was released in most European countries on April 17 through Roadrunner Records. The U.S. release will follow on June 13 via Century Media. The band's upcoming North American tour will be announced soon.
SATYRICON entered the national chart in their home country at position No. 7 with the "K.I.N.G." single.
